RECRUITMENT BACKGROUND
In September 2020 a search committee was established to recruit an Executive Director for JGI USA. That position was vacant due to the resignation of the previous executive director. The members of the committee included JGI USA Board Chair Steve Woodruff, and JGI USA Board members Linda Berdine, Franklin Moore, Paul Baribault, and George Macricostas. Also, on the committee were Acting Executive Director Carol Irwin, and Vice President, Office of the Founder, Mary Lewis. The JGI Human Resource Department provided valuable support.
JGI had the assistance of one of the world’s top executive search organizations Heidrick & Struggles, who worked with JGI to analyze organizational needs, detail position requirements and qualifications, identify candidates and conduct a thorough recruitment process. Dr. Jane Goodall was consulted throughout the process.
