Gift in Your Will or Living Trust

Leaving a gift in your will or living trust is one of the most popular ways of giving. It is a smart way to provide for your loved ones and the causes you care about. Your gift may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after all other provisions are specified.

  • You retain control of your assets during your lifetime.
  • There is no minimum gift. You can leave a gift of any size.
  • You have the flexibility of ensuring your loved ones are cared for first before contributing to JGI USA.
  • You may qualify for estate tax savings or reduce tax burdens for heirs.
  • You can make your gift in honor or memory of someone special who inspired your love of the natural world.
  • You can change your mind at any time if your circumstances change.

Simply use the suggested language below when drafting your bequest.

“I give to the Jane Goodall Institute USA, a nonprofit corporation currently located at 1120 20th Street NW Suite 520S, Washington, DC 20036, or its successor thereto, ____________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted use and purpose. Federal tax identification number: 94-2474731”
