"We have the choice to use the gift of our life to make the world a better place.”

- Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE

Jane’s Peak Society is a community of donors who give $1,000 or more annually to the Jane Goodall Institute USA, providing the critical, unrestricted support that allows JGI USA to act with flexibility and foresight.

Jane’s Peak Society is named after a real place and a defining moment in conservation history. In the early days of her research at Gombe National Park, Dr. Jane Goodall often climbed a high vantage point overlooking the forest.

From that peak, binoculars and notebook in hand, she observed chimpanzees below. Those observations reshaped how we understand animals, humans, and our connection to the natural world.

That place came to be known as Jane’s Peak. For Jane, it represented both perspective and possibility. It was a reminder of the importance of seeing the big picture while recognizing the power of individual action.

Today, Jane’s Peak Society members carry that perspective forward. Thank you for standing at this vantage point with us. Your membership provides the steady foundation that sustains JGI USA’s programs. Your support ensures continuity. It allows this work to respond to urgent needs while remaining grounded in long-term solutions.

“JGI’s holistic approach to conservation is what’s needed most right now. From the boots-on-the-ground work being done with communities and governments in Africa, to reaching children through the Roots & Shoots program — it’s all part of a collective solution to heal our planet. JGI is leading the way in this approach to conservation, along with hope. That’s why I’m a Jane’s Peak Society member. JGI embodies Jane’s message of hope and leads every strategy with that mindset. It’s easy to get bogged down in the negative news around us today, but JGI gives me hope for the future of our planet.”

“My journey, inspired by Jane, has come full circle. From a little girl in Utah with a dream, to a business owner and a leader in sustainability, and a mother to a 13-year-old daughter named Jane who embodies the adventurous spirit of her namesake. By redefining what it means to be a leader in science and conservation, Jane not only opened the doors for future generations of women scientists but also empowers girls worldwide to pursue their ambitions with courage and resilience.”

“Through the Roots & Shoots club at our son’s school, he has found not only inspiration but also a community of like-minded individuals who share his passion for protecting the planet and collaborate on projects that make a tangible difference in their community. The Jane Goodall Institute USA became a natural place for us to invest. As Jane’s Peak Society members, we see this as more than giving to a good cause — it’s about being part of a global movement to protect our environment for future generations.”
